If you are a man, then you like action movies. If you don’t click here for a vegan, tofu-filled cooking blog!
Anyway, I am a action movie junkie, super hero’s are at the top of that list. Having 189 kids, the idea of getting to the theater to see a movie is as impossible as going to the bathroom alone. A sweet, sweet dream.
So I wait for the DVD release of the movies I missed, turn on the surround sound, only to have WIFE yell at me about the noise and normally turn it back down.
One of the few times I let my Bose speakers shake the walls was when I was given a preview copy of Thor: The Dark World. Thor and Ironman are the two super heroes that get me as excited as a toddler around toilet water: ready to jump in with both hands and have a blast!
Thor: The Dark World delivers on action, story, Thor running around with his shirt off, special effects, Thor looking all sweaty and hot with his short off, acting and a few plot twists that will make you say “no fuc*ing way!”
I never actually had a chance to meet or talk to Chris Hemsworth but a PR person did and this is what he had to say about the new movie Chris Hemsworth has definite feelings about why Thor, even though he is a god from another world, is so relatable to audiences. “Thor’s in love with a human, so that helps,” says the actor. “Instantly there’s a connection. It helps that we’ve brought the story into a more real, grounded look. But Thor is going through human problems. His conflicts and emotions are the same as ours. They’re not so far off that we can’t find any connection to it. He’s battling with his responsibilities and coming to terms with who he is, his place in the world, his relationships and family.”
Thor battles Loki, bad guys, love, his dad, a big rock monster thingy and more in this awesome follow up to the first Thor movie. You can get your copy of Thor: The Dark World on Tuesday, February 25th and check out a clip below.
As an added bonus DAD has a sneak preview of the new Marvel movie Guardians of the Galaxy, starring Chris Pratt (maybe you have to be named Chris to be a super hero?).
You may know Pratt from Parks and Recreation on NBC, but you haven’t seen him like this. He is ripped like a race horse, but still funny as hel(. Guardians of the Galaxy doesn’t come out until August 1, 2014 (20 days before DAD’s birthday) but the trailer should put a smile on your face and keep you humming all day long.
