What Is Dad All Day?
My goal for Dad All Day is to be a resource for stay at home dads as well as moms.
I am here to share my experiences, tips, ideas, reviews and sometimes rants. I will be honest, open and opinionated. At the same time, I hope to hear from you. Let me hear your thoughts, ideas and things you want to talk about.
Who Am I?
I am a stay at home dad of three kids.
I love my kids. I love my wife for giving me this amazing opportunity to stay at home with our children and be a part of their childhood.
I have the kind of “real” job that has afforded me the luxury of being able to stay at home for my thirteen year old and four old for extended periods of time. Now we have a eight month old baby and made the decision that “dad should stay at home.”
I have been on again off again stay at home dad for thirteen years and feel that I have learned a lot from the experience. It is amazing, frustrating, funny, hard, exhilarating and at times very lonely.
I believe in “girl power,””boy power,” and the power to give your kids the love and encouragement that they need to grow into healthy, well adjusted human beings (though I wonder sometimes about the middle oneJ.)
Dad All Day isn’t going to be a “today my baby did blah” type of blog. There are plenty of amazing mommy bloggers who cover the ins and outs of motherhood much better than I ever could.
As a stay at home dad, I do all the same things moms do as well as the things dad’s do. Parenthood on either side of the coin is a balancing act of many things on a needle head. I love the constant juggle…most days.
My life isn’t perfect, my relationship isn’t perfect, my kids aren’t perfect. We strive to be our best and when we fail, we try to learn and move on. I try and shower every day, but hit the 5 times a week mark fairly regularly.
This is a blog written about a dad, but moms you can pick up a few tips as well.
I look forward to sharing and hearing from you all.
