Last week Dad All Day went “viral.” Thanks to all of you we have had many successful posts that have been “liked” and shared, but viral is a completely different thing. It’s like a social media wild fire way out of control, numbers of reader are accumulating faster that you can count, phone ringing, e-mail alerts binging, comments flowing, at the end of it all Dad All Day had over one million page views in a 48 hour period, a bloggers dream!
With it came contacts from different brands, media inquiries, a bunch of new friends and offers to write this or that, even calls from blogger agents(no play dates yet). People kept asking, “how do you feel?” my answer was always the same, “best week of my life.” However that has been my answer for quite some time now, not because of blogging, for something much more important.
In our house we call the week from November 6th to November 11th “birthday week.” Our oldest was born on the 6th and buck buck #2 was born on the 11th. To me it is and will always be the best week of my life, they changed my entire world, for the better and for that I am eternally grateful. As a side note WIFE and DAD now sleep in different rooms on Valentines Day just to be safe.
I tell every one of my 148 kids every night, “you made the world a better place, just by being born” and for me it’s true. My passion is writing, my love is my family, without them I wouldn’t have this blog, this life or the ability to smile, laugh and scream at least once a day. They changed my world.
One million page views is amazing, thanks to all of you! Being a father to my children is the best feeling in the world, something that I get to do everyday, which goes beyond description.
Without my family I have no idea what I would do with all that time, disposable income, time to write, go to the gym, enjoy food, sleep, make love, vacation…uh…What was I talking about? Right, without my family, I would be lost.
While the world was reading Dad All Day, I was celebrating the best week of my life with my kids, my wife and a butt load of sugar, as I will ever birthday week until the day that this all ends for me.
Don’t get me wrong, all that attention gave DAD a blogger woody. Thank you for reading, please continue to come back and share, maybe we can make next week the third best week of my life(can’t forget about the other kid).
