When WIFE was Girl Friend and we used to travel to visit her family for the holidays, it was easy: we would wake up, go for a run, have the sweaty time, shower and leave, 18 minutes from beginning to end.
Now that we have 189 kids and we are headed into the busiest travel weekend of the year, one missed doo dad, gizmo or movie thingy can mean the difference between a peaceful trip and a trip filled with complaining and crying(that’s just from DAD).
We not only pack, we charge, download and prepare for the trip ahead. Headphones are packed, batteries charged, markers capped and ready for the long journey into the wilds of family, friends and lots of food.
One of the movies that has passed the test of our fourteen year old and five year old is the Disney movie Planes(available now), which is funny, exciting, entertaining and the planes talk, awesome!
The gang from Disney and Planes sent DAD a few holiday travel tips for you and a free Planes activity book for your kids to color, connect the dots and generally be entertained so you can drive, fly, rail your way to the holidays.
