Now that baseball in Chicago has come to quick and bitter end in Chicago…again. It to get to one of my favorite “seasons, “ Feld Season.
The best thing about Feld season, unlike the local baseball team named after a small bear, is there are no losers, no gut wrenching disappointments, no boring outings and it’s actually affordable, entertaining, great fun for the entire family.
What is Feld season, you ask? Glad you did, I am running out of interesting comparisons to the Cubs.
Feld Entertainment and the many options for entertaining your family in the Chicago area is Feld Season.
Don’t get me wrong, Feld is entertaining people around the country all year long. In Chicago, they wait until camp has ended, Summer is over, school has started, travel soccer is done, the weather gets cold and then they kick it into high gear with Feld Season!
Monster Jam, Sesame Street Live, The Trolls Experience, Marvel Universe Live, Disney on Ice, Monster Super Cross and Disney Live all make up Feld Season in Chicago.
Feld Season kicks off with a bang next week in Rosemont with Sesame Street Live on Friday, October 12 through Sunday October 14th, with 8 possible show times to catch with your family.
If you are an old fan like me or have had a chance to catch the new updated Sesame Street on HBO, then you know the simple magic of all of our old friends and how they can bring a smile to the face of pretty much everyone in the room.
Party guests will sing along to new and familiar songs, like “I Love Trash” and “C is for Cookie,” with Oscar the Grouch and Cookie Monster; dance to the beat with Elmo; explore a wintry wonderland when Abby Cadabby’s magic goes awry; take flight with Big Bird to learn about some of his fabulous feathered friends; and discover new cultures in an interactive Spanish lesson with Rosita.
I can sing half of those right, now, as I write, in my pajamas, because that’s how memorable and iconic Sesame Street is. Click here for ticket and more information in Sesame Street Live.
In the tradition of Sesame Street don’t forget about M…M is for Monster Jam! Yes, massive monster trucks flying through the air, crushing cars and defying gravity, Monster Jam returns to Chicago in November (early this year) and is ready to rip Rosemont in half, with it’s amazing energy, massive trucks and a show that keeps you cheering and yelling at the top of your lungs!
Grave Digger, El Toro Loco, Max D, Wonder Woman and a half a dozen other drivers are bringing their massive trucks, souped up go cart things and high flying ATV’s back to the Chicago for Monster Jam Triple Threat.
It’s loud, it’s non-stop and it’s a great time. November 2 through November 4th, there are five shows, pit parties to meet the drivers, giveaways, interactive audience judges and of course…Monster Trucks!!
Get your tickets to Monster Jam here.
As the pitchers and catchers, put down their golf clubs and get back to getting ready for another long season of breaking our hearts in October, Feld is keeping the fun going with Disney on Ice.
From January 24th to February 10th, Disney on Ice is back with a new show- Mickey’s Search Party, and it will be both in Rosemont and the United Center giving you and your family plenty of opportunities to take off on this new adventure on ice with some of your favorite Disney characters.
High-flying acrobatics and unexpected stunts! Help them follow Captain Hook’s treasure map and look for clues in the search for Tinker Bell in immersive, fantastic worlds. Explore the colorful spirit realm of Coco in Miguel’s Disney On Ice debut, sail away with Moana as she bravely saves her island, see Belle in the sky above you as the enchanted chandelier comes to life, and sing-along with Elsa in the icy world of Frozen.
That’s just the tip of the Disney on Ice…berg…um…show… You get the idea. You can get more information and tickets here.
As you can see Feld Season is long, fun, meant to keep you smiling all Winter long. Unlike, well…ok, I won’t…but you get it, how could they possibly??
By the time Feld Season is over, we will be all relaxed and ready for those “other” seasons in Chicago.
Have fun, see you there and check back here for more on great things to do and check out with your family.
