Earlier this month, I was lucky enough to be invited to the Disney Studios to watch and learn about several movies, one of which was the new movie the Pirate Fairy.
Going into the screening, I have to admit, I knew nothing about the adventures of Tinker Bell and her pals and DAD may have been nursing a slight hang over from the night before (mommy blogger know how to party). I looked at the movie as a chance to catch a nap. That changed almost immediately when the screen came to life with a story, animations and characters that jumped off the screen.
While it didn’t do much for my hang over, I was floored at the quality of the movie from beginning to end and now I am a fan of the Pirate Fairy.
Even though the Pirate Fairy doesn’t come out on DVD until April, 1s. If you want to be a parent “the cool parent,” get out to a store and grab yourself some Pirate Fairy stuff today! Once the video comes out, your kids are going to be begging you for a Zarina doll, a Crock stuffed animal or any one of a number of the costumes and shirts that come along with the movie.
You don’t want to be the parent at the playgroup who doesn’t have a Zarina doll, because you decided to go to the gym instead of the store and now they’re all sold out and your kid is alone in a corner playing with an old stinky Tickle Me Elmo!
What I thought was going to be a “girl” movie actually had a great crossover appeal. My son was given a copy of the Pirate Fairy audio book which he brought it to pre-school to share with his class. When I came to pick him up there were several parents all waiting patiently for their kids, because non of them would leave until the story was over! One of the moms asked me “where can I get that book?”
A lot of the Pirate Fairy stuff hits the stores today and if it’s anything like Frozen, good luck finding stuff in a month or two. People are selling Frozen pajamas on Ebay for $50! Don’t get stuck being that parent either.
Not giving too much away, but the baby crocodile is a green “Olaf,” very cute and an awesome addition. Our baby walks around the house with him all day long and another cool as$ mom blogger started a Facebook page with his adventures, click here to see and share that.
All colors all sizes, dolls, dresses, books and plenty of other surprises. Girls, boys and adults who collect Disney toys, the Pirate Fairy is here, get ready to hear your kids cheer!
